With a doctor degree in 2005 at School of Medicine, Shanghai JiaoTong University, Weidong Xiao currently work as a chief physician at the First Affiliated Hospital of Nanchang University. He was nominated as deputy director of department of biliary-pancreatic surgery since August 2016. Over the last 27 years, he has focused on open/laparoscopic/robotic hepato-biliary-pancreatic surgery and basic research on the liver, biliary and pancreatic cancer. Dr. Xiao is a postdoctoral fellow of Johns Hopkins Hospital, USA. He is a standing member of Biliary Tumor Committee of Chinese Anti-Cancer Association (CACA)youth member of Chinese Committee of Biliary Surgeons (CCBS), and Enhanced Recovery After Surgery Committee of Chinese Research Hospital Association (CRHA). Up to date, He has hosted two research project of National Science Foundation of China and other ten research project of Jiangxi Province and has published over 90 articles as the first or corresponding author in the journals such as World J Surg Oncol, J Cell Mol Med, Front Oncol, J Laparoendosc Adva, HPB, Surg Endosc and so on. Meanwhile, he is a corresponding editor of Chinese Journal of Hepatic Surgery (Electronic Edition), and a peer reviewer of World Journal of Surgery, Pancreas, Therapeutic Advances in Medical Oncology, OncoTargets and Therapy, Medical Science Monitor, Cellular Oncology, etc.
