Prof. Yao Hongliang is the Director of General Surgery, Director of General Surgery Gastroenterology, Professor, First class Chief Physician, Doctor of Surgery, and doctoral supervisor of Xiangya Second Hospital of Central South University. He graduated from the Clinical Medicine Department of Hunan Medical University in 1987. He has stayed in Xiangya Second Hospital and worked in general surgery since then. Later, he successively obtained a master's degree in surgery and a doctor's degree in surgery from Xiangya Medical College of Central South University. He was promoted to attending physician in 1994, vice chief physician and associate professor in 2001, and chief physician and professor in 2009. He is also a member of the Gastrointestinal Oncology Group of the Chinese Medical Association Oncology Branch, a member of the Upper Gastrointestinal Tract Committee of the Chinese Medical Doctor Association, a member of the Medical Robotics Branch of the Chinese Medical Doctor Association, a standing member of the Robotics Committee of the Surgical Doctor Branch of the Chinese Medical Doctor Association, a vice chairman of the Robotics Committee of the Colorectal Cancer Committee of the Chinese Medical Doctor Association Member of Laparoscopy Committee, Sub microsurgery Committee of Colorectal Cancer Committee of Chinese Medical Association, and Chairman of Hunan Branch of China NOSES Alliance.
